Oh no! Don't do that; you'll feel so guilty later! You can still calm your craving, here's a few ideas....

I make my own pizza crust with whole wheat flour and no sugar! It tastes wonderful, and after all , it's really the toppings that make the pizza! Just find a regular pizza dough recipe and use whole wheat flour instead of white. You might have to add a touch more yeast and let it rise longer, but that's it! Also, I find it works best if you roll the dough out very thin. It rises some, but with a heavy wheat dough, it wouldn't taste very good thick.

Another tip: think about exactly what part of the pizza you're craving. Is it the feeling of the dough (use the tip above).. is it the meat and cheese? Is it the sauce? If you're only craving the toppings, then make something just using those. I like Hormel's Turkey Pepperoni. I place several pepperonis on a baking sheet, top each with a tiny bit of tomato sauce sprinkled with Italian seasoning, then a tiny bit of mozzarella cheese on each. I broil for a few seconds to warm everything up, then.... PRESTO! Little mini pizzas that have NO white foods at all!

I hope you will take some way of escape!

Hey Girl,

good for you for not eating the white stuff, stick with it. Hey what about making a pizza on a portobello mushroom. You know they come in personal pan sizes. :0)

Your doing great, stick with it!

I love Pam & Tori's suggestions! I've been doing a bit of the whole wheat pizza crust as well using low-fat mozzarella...I try to use lots of veggies on it to keep the flavor real intense with just a little bit of the meats for flavor. Never tried a portobello pizza but I think I just might try making one.

Marsheila....I know you can stay on this no-white-food thing. Just do it one day at a time. There will always be a 'reason' to postpone it so don't give in or you'll never get started. We're having a little challenge over at my weight loss blog to help each other stick to our diet goals. Feel free to be a part of it but no pressure. I like having you visit anyway! Remember, this is the year we're all going to get rid of it once and for all! We can do it!

Thank you ladies for these great suggestions although I don't like mushrooms tori. but I will try this out and see... I am trying to get my taste buds to change on mushrooms, when I do put them in like spaghatti I have to cut them up very tiny I guess I just don't like the texture. I am back on track now we did eat pizza the other night but I did'nt go overboard with it..oh pam I guess it's the toppings I crave the most cause sometimes I just eat the toppings.
